The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department. The Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant/Secretary must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to manage complex legal administrative tasks efficiently. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, as well as solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should be comfortable handling fast-paced litigation support tasks and ideally possess a typing speed of 60 wpm. Some college coursework is preferred, and studies in legal or paralegal fields will be considered an advantage. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy under pressure.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
- 3-5 years litigation legal administrative assistant required; law firm or corporate legal department preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
- Typing of 60 wpm preferred
- Some college is preferred; legal/paralegal studies is a plus
Description:
Law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Secretary to provide administrative assistance to attorneys and timekeepers within the firm’s litigation group. Litigation Legal Secretary needs to have strong e-filing experience to assist in completing litigation filings. Litigation Legal Secretary will draft correspondence, manage and open new client matters, manage attorney calendars and schedules, handle tasks associated with management of client bills and invoices and enter and revise attorney’s time in time entry system, schedule and organize meetings, travel and seminars. Ideal candidate must be able to deliver exceptional client service in a professional manner, exercising discretion and confidentiality and be able to work under pressure, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
