The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience within a law firm or professional services environment. The Accounting Manager/Director of Accounting must be fully proficient in full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and management of the general ledger. The candidate should be confident handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, cash flow oversight, and credit monitoring with accuracy and efficiency. Experience working with external auditors and supporting annual audits and tax preparations is essential. Familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel, and Sure Point is highly preferred. A CPA license or MBA will be considered a strong advantage. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a demonstrated commitment to financial integrity and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services setting
- CPA license and/or MBA preferred
- Quickbooks, Excel, Sure Point experience a plus
Description:
Accounting professional will be the lead for the accounting and financial operations. Manage full cycle accounting, to include journal entries, account reconciliations and maintenance of general ledger. Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, cash flow and credit monitoring. Assist and coordinate with external auditors in annual audit and tax return preparation. Responsible for compilation of financial statements, analyzing financial reports and communication with executives. Manage corporate bank accounts and IOLTA accounts; approve outgoing ACH wires and manage relationship with bank vendors.
