The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of intellectual property principles, patent terminology, and USPTO procedures, along with the ability to navigate various research and search tools with ease. The IP Patent Coordinator must be proficient in Microsoft Office, IP Manager, iManage, the USPTO Portal, and Elite, with the ability to manage complex administrative tasks efficiently. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an IP Paralegal Certification. A minimum of three years of experience in an administrative role within IP law is preferred. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while supporting patent-related processes.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of IP principles, terminology and USPTO practices, terminology and technology and will possess proficiency using multiple search engines.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, IP Manager, iManage, USPTO Portal and Elite is required.
- Must have excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in BA or related field OR IP Paralegal Certification is required.
- 3 years experience in an administrative capacity within IP law preferred
Description:
IP Patent Coordinator, under the advisement and supervision of the attorney, will prepare documents that support patent preparation and prosecution activities. Patent Coordinator also support dockets, prepares and files US patent applications, reviews and reports USPTO correspondence, completes new business intake and acts as a liaison between client and foreign associates as well as interfacing with attorneys and partners on all administrative matters.
